Materiaalse ja vaimse tervise toe pakkumine Eestis elavatele pagulastele
Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected many of the refugees living in Estonia, both in terms of their livelihoods (refugees often work in the hard-hit sectors) and mental health (feelings of isolation and hopelessness have deepened). Within this project, the ERC provides material and mental health support to refugees living in Estonia to support their fast recovery.
As a result of these activities, targeted refugee families are able to better cope with the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. By providing both material and mental health support, we tackle the two most important problems identified by refugee families themselves: loss of livelihoods during the pandemic, and feelings of depression, isolation and hopelessness due to the lock-downs, home-schooling, and difficult economic situation.
