Arriving in Estonia

Ukrainian citizens can enter Estonia and other countries in the Schengen Visa Area with an internal passport, biometric passport, visa or without. Underage children should have a birth certificate, but can also enter the country without one. This also applies to a spouse, child or parent accompanying a Ukrainian citizen of another nationality, including situations where the mother is a citizen of another country and the children are Ukrainian citizens. INFORMATION ABOUT BUSESThe Estonian Refugee Council is currently not coordinating evacuation from Ukraine. If the circumstances change and the need for coordinated evacuation returns, this will be announced separately. |

INFORMATION POINTS
The information point of the Social Insurance Board (SKA) at the bus station for Ukrainians in Tallinn is closed from 28.04.23. People have the opportunity to get advice and help by contacting either 1247, PBGB or SKA service points, from where, depending on the person's situation, they can be directed to accommodation based on the International Protection of Foreigners Act.
In Tallinn on the ship Isabelle, official information point is open 24 hours a day and provide you with additional information about the possibilities of staying in Estonia. If necessary, you will be provided with accommodation in simple conditions (for up to 24 hours) until you have received temporary protection or can move on from Estonia. You can also get help from an information point if you arrive in Estonia in the evening, at night, on a weekend, or on a public holiday and you do not have a temporary place of stay.
Jõhvi, Pärnu and Tartu information points are closed from 30.04.23. The Jõhvi information point (Viru 5a) remains the accommodation for the Social Insurance Board, information can be obtained at PBGB service points in Pärnu.
If a person has accommodation, they do not have to go to an information point; they can simply turn to the PBGB as soon as possible to apply for temporary protection.

A person in transit is advised to ask the border guard for the wristband that allows free train rides across Estonia!

PETS ACROSS THE BORDER THE ESTONIAN BORDER
A refugee who enters Estonia with a dog, cat, or ferret must notify the Agriculture and Food Board as soon as possible. To do this, you must fill in the notification form and send it to the following email address: pta@pta.agri.ee. UNACCOMPANIED CHILD
